KRS, a beacon of innovation and values in education since its inception on June 2, 1995. Situated in the sprawling 26291 square feet area, our journey has been one of relentless dedication towards nurturing the holistic development of every child under our care.

Foundational Values: Krishnamal Ramasubbaiyer School, founded by Dr. R. Lakshmipathy, is led by Dr. L. Ramasubbu, bringing extensive experience from DINAMALAR since 1980. Driven by innovation and reader-friendly approaches, he manages the school, reflecting the success of the newspaper.The bedrock of our educational ethos lies in instilling the values of truth, honesty, transparency, and straightforwardness in each student. We believe these values form the very foundation upon which we build the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth.

Academic Excellence: As of now, KRS offers a comprehensive education system spanning from kindergarten to Grade XII, featuring a team of 42 highly dedicated teachers, including 13 Post Graduate Teachers, 9 Trained Graduate Teachers, and 21 Primary Teachers. At present, we are privileged to nurture 905 bright minds. In our 30 spacious classrooms, students engage with a curriculum meticulously curated by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). To establish a robust academic base, we have chosen DAV books for the early years.

Infrastructure and Facilities: More than brick and mortar, our school is a sanctuary for learning. A state-of-the-art AV room and SMART Board-equipped classrooms each spanning 576 square feet create an immersive learning experience. The well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer laboratories, coupled with an extensive library, offer students opportunities for hands-on exploration and research. The safety and well-being of our students are paramount. To this end, we have implemented stringent measures, including comprehensive CCTV surveillance, a RO water plant for safe drinking water, and an eco-friendly campus.

Transportation: Understanding the importance of seamless mobility for our students, we provide a dedicated transportation service, ensuring their safe commute to and from the school premises.

 

 Our curriculum is structured to cater to the evolving needs of our students:

• KG to Grade 5: DAV curriculum.
• Grades 6 to 12: CBSE syllabus with NCERT curriculum.
• Academic year: April 1st to March 31st.

Our assessment system aligns with the official CBSE pattern:

• Grades I to VIII: Two terms with periodic tests and summative assessments.
• Monthly Subject Enrichment Activities to promote creativity and understanding.
• Uniform Assessment Register for transparent grading.
• Grades IX to XII: Monthly tests, half-yearly, and session-ending exams.

Board Results: The academic year 2022-2023 has been marked by exceptional achievements. Notable performances include: Grade – XII (2022 – 2023)

1. Akhilseh K: Scored an impressive 464/500.
2. Muthu Namash G: Achieved a commendable score of 445/500.
3. Adarshkumar S S: Demonstrated exceptional performance with a score of 436/500.

Grade – X (2022 – 2023)

1. Navitha A N D: Stood out with a remarkable score of 483/500.
2. Varsiga: Achieved an excellent score of 480/500.
3. Jyotsana S: Demonstrated commendable academic prowess with a score of 471/500.

These results not only highlight the dedication and hard work of our students but also underscore the guidance provided by our committed faculty.

NEET/JEE Specialized Coaching for Excellence: Recognizing the diverse aspirations of our students, we offer specialized coaching for competitive exams such as NEET and JEE, commencing from Grade 6. Our experienced faculty members, with their wealth of knowledge, work closely with our Grade 11 and 12 students after school hours, providing personalized guidance and support throughout their preparation journey.

At KRS, we believe in nurturing the complete individual. Our students have excelled in various Olympiad events. In the realm of sports and games, our students have achieved commendable feats, earning accolades in disciplines ranging from chess to athletics.

Sports Achievements: “Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution.” Our sports facilities reflect this philosophy.

• Grandmaster Martial Arts Association 36th Anniversary Grand Silambam Competitions:
  • Our students showcased their skills in the ancient Indian martial art of Silambam, demonstrating discipline and agility.
• South Zone Yoga Open Championship 2022 – Sri Patanjali Yoga Kendra:
  • Our students excelled in the championship, securing TWO 1st place and ONE 2nd place, attesting to their dedication to physical and mental well-being through yoga.

These achievements stand as a testament not only to the exceptional talent of our students but also to the dedication and guidance provided by our esteemed coaches and mentors.

Extracurricular Achievements: KRS provides a platform for students to explore their interests and talents beyond traditional education. These activities have allowed them to showcase their unique potential in various skill areas.

  • Recognized as a Multi-Talented Kid by Jackhi Gold Star.
  • Acknowledged as a Super Talented Kid by the International Books of Records.

Furthermore, we are immensely proud to acknowledge the remarkable achievement of Shree Kaviya Jothi from Grade VII, who developed an innovative “Accident Capture Module.” This outstanding project earned her a prestigious award of Rs. 10,000 from the Inspire Awards. This accomplishment not only highlights Shree Kaviya Jothi’s ingenuity but also underscores our commitment to nurturing and encouraging young innovators at KRS

• Yoga Day (21.6.22): On International Yoga Day, our students actively participated in a mass yoga drill, promoting both physical fitness and mental well-being.
• Independence Day: With great pride, we celebrated India’s Independence Day, instilling a sense of patriotism and gratitude in our students through activities such as fancy dress, essay writing, patriotic song, and drawing competitions.
• Hindi Diwas: A WEEK dedicated to celebrating the richness and cultural significance of the Hindi language, encouraging linguistic diversity and unity.
• Unity Run (31.10.22): Fostering strength in unity, our students rallied around our school, visiting the Eliyarpatti to raise awareness about unity and collaboration.
• CCA Competitions: Every Friday, our students eagerly participate in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) competitions. These events serve as a platform for them to showcase their talents, creativity, and teamwork. Through these competitions, we encourage students to explore various fields and develop skills beyond the classroom.
• Club Activities: Our school hosts a range of clubs, each designed to cater to diverse interests and talents. These clubs not only provide an avenue for personal growth but also foster a sense of camaraderie among like-minded individuals. The clubs include:
  • Green Club: Aims to instill a sense of responsibility towards our planet.
  • Math Club: Delve into the fascinating world of numbers, problem-solving, and mathematical thinking, honing their analytical skills.
  • Literary Club: Encourages a love for literature, writing, and critical thinking. Students engage in debates, discussions, and creative writing activities.
  • Fine Arts Club: A space for artistic expression of visual arts, fostering creativity and aesthetic appreciation.
• Investiture Ceremony (17th August 2022): The Investiture Ceremony was a transformative moment, where our student leaders embraced a mantle of duty and leadership. They received badges not as mere honors, but as symbols of trust and pride. School People Leader, Sports Leaders, Class Monitors, and Spoken English Leader, all stepped up with determination.
• Fundoo Games (7.11.22): This event was a day of fun and camaraderie, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship by playing kho-kho, football, cricket among our students.
• Air show (20.12.22): Our students were enthralled by a captivating airshow by 360-degree flying club, Madurai, inspiring awe and fostering an interest in aviation.
• KG Graduation (4.3.23): We celebrated the transition of our young learners from kindergarten, marking an important milestone in their educational journey.
• Disaster Management Program (17.2.23): This program equipped our students with essential knowledge on fire safety, tsunami, earthquake etc. and skills to respond effectively in times of emergencies.

 

Our school calendar is infused with vibrant celebrations, each imbued with its own unique significance:

• Freshers Day (August 20, 2022): This event warmly welcomes our new students, providing a platform for them to acquaint themselves with our KRS community.
• Mango Day (July 2, 2022): An ode to nature’s bounty, Mango Day is a celebration of the delectable fruit that holds cultural significance in many parts of the world. Students engage in activities like dancing and coloring, highlighting the deliciousness and versatility of mangoes.
• Colours Day – Orange Day (February 4, 2023): A vibrant celebration of colors like green, orange, and blue, this day sparks creativity and imagination among our students. Through various activities and displays, they explore the power of color in artistic expression.
• Pulao Day (November 7, 2022): This culinary delight brings students together to prepare and savor a pulao, promoting teamwork, culinary skills, and an appreciation for diverse cuisines.
• Krishna Jayanthi (August 30, 2022): This day is devoted to celebrating the divine and timeless wisdom of Lord Krishna. Students engage in cultural activities and performances that showcase the significance of Lord Krishna in our heritage.
• Sports Day (August 20, 2022): A day filled with exhilarating sports and games, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition. We crowned overall champions among the houses and held special events for parents.
• Ganesh Chaturthi (August 30, 2022): This festive occasion is marked by devotion and cultural festivities in honor of Lord Ganesha. Students participate in rituals and cultural performances that reflect the significance of this beloved deity. We conducted a small pooja and distributed prasad among students.
• Teacher’s Day (September 5, 2022): A day of gratitude and appreciation for our dedicated educators, who tirelessly nurture and guide our students. They expressed their love through hand-made crafts.
• Onam (September 9, 2022): Onam is a vibrant celebration of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. We held a small Onam fest at our school, including drama and dance.
• Carnival Day (September 12, 2022): A day of fun-filled activities featuring games, stalls, and performances, creating a festive atmosphere. Both parents and our kids had a fantastic time.
• Diwali Celebration (October 21, 2022): A festival of lights, marked by fervor and enthusiasm. Students participated in traditional rituals, cultural performances, and the exchange of sweets.
• Children’s Day (November 14, 2022): A day dedicated to our young learners, filled with fun activities, games, and special treats to make our students feel cherished.
• Grandparents Day (December 3, 2022): We invited our kids’ grandparents. It provided an opportunity for students to express their gratitude and create lasting memories with their beloved elders. We sent the gifts prepared by their own grandchildren.
• Pongal Celebration (January 18, 2023): Students engaged in traditional Pongal cooking, cultural performances, and festive decorations.
• Republic Day (January 25, 2023): A day to honor the principles and values that form the foundation of our great nation. The celebration included flag hoisting, cultural performances, and a sense of patriotic fervor. We organized various CCA competitions, and students received prizes.
• Thanksgiving Day (February 10, 2023): A day of reflection and gratitude, acknowledging the blessings and achievements of the past year. It provided an opportunity for students and staff to come together in gratitude for the caretakers, bus drivers, and conductors.

These events not only add vibrancy to our school calendar but also play a crucial role in nurturing a sense of community, cultural awareness, and overall personal development among our students.

• FIELD TRIPS/EDUCATIONAL TOURS: These experiences enriched our students’ learning by providing real-world context and hands-on exploration.

• MEDICAL CHECK UP: Our commitment to the health and well-being of our students was evident through regular medical check-ups, ensuring their physical well-being. Every year starting, we have the medical checkup.

The backbone of any educational institution is its teaching faculty. To this end, we have consistently invested in the professional development of our teachers through training programs and workshops conducted in collaboration with esteemed organizations like Madurai Sahodaya Schools Complex and DAV School.

Our teachers have participated in the DAV School’s offline training program, engaging in valuable professional development sessions in both December 2022. This proactive involvement further enhances their expertise, ensuring they stay abreast of the latest educational methodologies and advancements.
